I am excited to share that I will be the elections co-chair at IEEE VIS 2023.

Our paper “CommunityClick-Virtual: Multi-Modal Interactions for Enhancing Participation in Virtual Meetings” was accepted at the Multimodal Experiences for Remote Communication Around Data Online (MERCADO) Workshop, in conjunction with IEEE VIS 2023.

Our paper “Of Course it’s Political! A Critical Inquiry into Underemphasized Dimensions in Civic Text Visualization” received the best paper award in Eurovis 2022.

Our paper “Investigating Perceptual Biases in Icon Arrays” received an honorable mention award at CHI 2022.

I received an NSF grant ($147,000) with PI Narges Mahyar and CO-PI Pari Riahi for “MAPPING INSTABILITY: Building an Intelligent Community Agent Platform for Understanding the Impact of Large-Scale Crisis on Small Town Communities”.
