I am an Assistant Professor at the College of Information and Computer Sciences, University of Massachusetts AmherstI am affiliated with the UMass Cybersecurity Institute

My main research interest is cryptography, in particular the design and analysis of protocols with novel security or functionality properties relevant in emerging applications of cryptography to other areas such as databases, networking, and machine learning. I am also interested in improving the analyses of existing, widely-used protocols. You can find some statistics about my research on my Google scholar profile.

More specifically, topics I am working on include:

  • Searchable encryption
  • Aggregate and threshold signatures
  • Idealized models
  • Functional encryption
