It provides a platform for early-career data scientists, especially students, to showcase their work to conference attendees as well as obtain feedback.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite all&nbsp;<strong><span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\">registered women (cis and trans) and non-binary student attendees<\/span><\/strong>&nbsp;to submit their work to be considered for the poster session. This could include ongoing or prior work in the field of data science, including but not limited to theoretical foundations, novel and interdisciplinary applications of data science, data visualization, ethics, fairness, and accountability in data science, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\">Eligibility Criteria<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The work must be led by a woman (cis and trans) or non-binary student. (i.e. first author and presenter should be a woman (cis and trans) or non-binary student)<\/li><li>Both undergraduate and graduate students are encouraged to submit their work.<\/li><li>The participants must be registered for the conference via this&nbsp;<strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/e\/voices-of-data-science-2021-registration-135470198009\">registration link<\/a><\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><\/li><li>The work can either be previously published or be ongoing work, but must be in the field of <span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\">data science.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\">Requirements and Timeline<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>[Deadline Passed] Please submit an abstract of your work (no longer than 250 words) via\u00a0<strong><em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/SAVLobKwqezH5veG8\">this form<\/a><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong><span style=\"background-color:#ffffff\" class=\"tadv-background-color\"><span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\">February 10th, 2021<\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\"><strong> (23:59 EST)<\/strong><\/span>. Submissions must include a title, names and affiliations of all authors, and the abstract.<\/li><li>[Deadline Passed] The Organizing Committee will review all submitted abstracts for author eligibility and relevance to data science. Authors of accepted posters will be notified\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\">on a rolling basis.<\/span><\/strong><\/li><li>[Deadline Passed] The accepted abstracts would have to submit a poster by\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\">February 15th, 2021<\/span>.\u00a0<\/strong>Instructions for poster submission will be emailed to the registered author.<\/li><li>[Deadline Passed] The poster session will be held from\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color:#5c3d98\" class=\"tadv-color\">1:15 PM to 2:00 PM EST on Friday, February 19th, 2021<\/span><\/strong>.
